Nepal Ebenezer Theological Seminary
Campus Security Policy
Objective
The objective of this policy is to ensure a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for learning, worship, and community life at Nepal Ebenezer Theological Seminary (NETS).
Security Personnel
Trained security guards are stationed on the campus 24 hours a day. Their responsibility is to monitor entry and exit points, patrol the premises, and provide assistance in case of emergencies.
Access Control
All students, faculty, and staff are issued identification cards which must be presented upon request. Visitors are required to register at the main entrance and state the purpose of their visit before being allowed entry. Vehicles entering the campus are checked and recorded for security purposes.
Hostel Security
Separate hostels are provided for men and women. Each hostel is supervised by a warden who ensures the safety, discipline, and well-being of the residents. Curfew hours are enforced, regular attendance checks are carried out, and the emergency contact details of all residents are maintained.
Emergency Preparedness
The campus is equipped with fire extinguishers and first-aid kits at strategic points. An emergency assembly area has been designated for all members of the community. Regular drills are conducted to prepare students and staff for fire, earthquake, and other emergencies.
Code of Conduct
Weapons, drugs, and alcohol are strictly prohibited on campus. All members of the seminary are expected to maintain respect and discipline in their behavior. Any suspicious activity must be reported immediately to the authorities.
Surveillance and Technology
CCTV cameras are installed at the main gate, hostels, library, and other key locations on campus. Backup power systems are in place to ensure continuous operation of security technology even during power outages.
Coordination with Authorities
The seminary maintains contact with local police and emergency services to ensure a quick response in case of any incident. Emergency contact numbers are clearly displayed in hostels and on campus notice boards.
Review and Updates
The Campus Security Committee meets twice a year to review existing security arrangements and suggest necessary improvements. Feedback from students, faculty, and staff is encouraged and considered in updating this policy.
