Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MAOL)
Nepal Ebenezer Theological Seminary offers Master of arts in organizational Leadership (MATL) degree associate with Development Associates International (DAI), MA degree is accredited by accredited by Asia Theological Association (ATA). This program is designed to enable leaders to build their capacities to better lead their churches, organizations and NGOs. The primary objective of the Master of’ Arts in Organizational Leadership degree is to provide training and education that focuses on the specific needs and issues facing Christian leaders of organizations serving developing countries. Some of those needs addressed by this program are modeling servant leadership. wise stewardship of financial and human resources. Financial management and planning from a biblical perspective, assessing cultural and economic realities of the regions the organization serves. and strategic management in a world that is in constant change. MAOL is Master’s degree program that enhances leadership skills and brings qualitative change by transformation. The degree is primarily earned through Distance Education (with two one-week residencies required each year) while remaining actively involved in job or ministry. An Overview of the MAOL Program The Transformation MAOL program uses a set curriculum including workbooks, audio-cassettes, some video materials and online learning. The curriculum is highly contextualized to meet the needs of those serving in ministry, pastoring churches, or working with any other Christian organization in developing countries. The program requires the following courses – sequencing may vary depending on location, academic partner and availability of faculty)

In addition to these core courses, each student is required to take an additional 18 credit hours and complete a research project. The possible courses include:
Eligibility:
- Born again Christian with a vibrant faith.
- Bachelors Degree in any field (BA, B.Sc. B.Com, ATA/Serampore B.Th, MDiv, BD)
- Have 3-5 years of leadership experience in a service or ministry.
- Proficiency in English to MA Level, written and spoken (e.g. equivalent of TOFEL)
- Are working professionals.
- Are senior staff members of NGOs, churches and government offices.
- Understand their need for additional training, as well as a degree.
- Take personal responsibility for their educational experience.
- Desire personal communication and interaction with peers and mentors.
Fee Structure in NRS:
- Student Registration Fee (one time): 3,000.00
- Per Semester Tuition Fee: 2000.00
- Per Semester Class Notes & Books Fee: NRS 2,000.00
- Travel to and from and accommodation/ food during residencies (twice a year) is the students’ own responsibility. (Fees are subject to change with advance notification of students in case of local cost increases.)Residencies Venue: Both the residencies and exams will be held in/near Kathmandu. Methodology: Cohorts Learning Model – about 25 in a cohort Residency + Distance Learning Methodology
- Residency: 2 times per year, one week each time.
- Distance learning mode (email, face to face, telephone, fax, etc.).
- Applied Research Thesis based on field research will be required from each student at end of the course.
Examination:
- 50% marks for assignments, internal assessment.
- 50% marks for written examination following each semester.
