Master of Theology
We are happy to welcome you at NETS: Asia Graduates school of Theology Nepal (AGSTNP). It is a consortium of theological colleges in Nepal, which is running Inter Cultural Studies – ICS and Theology & Ethics and Practical Theology-PT disciplines. NETS is one of the consortium members of AGSTNP. We are offering a three year Master of Theology (MTh.) programme for M.Div. graduates from ATA or B.D form Serampore colleges. Of these three years, first two years will be for covering the required course work and the third year is dedicated for thesis writing. M.Th. programme is primarily a non-residential programme. Applications for MTh are invited both from Kathmandu valley and outside the Kathmandu as well. Our MTh. Programme will follow intensive modular/block system. The students will be asked to visit the NETS and ATEN library, different consortium college frequently to work on their assignments and theses. AGSTNP office also has small reference library from which students can access to both physical and online resources. AGSTNP will oversee the academic aspects of the programme while different college faculty will look after the financial, Ministerial and Character formation of the students. The Programme of AGSTNP is accredited by Asia Theological Association (ATA). We encourage Nepali church pastors and leaders to realize the fact that we need people who are enthusiastic for God’s word and heads forward to work on building God’s kingdom in Nepal. Hence all the theological schools, churches and organizations are encouraged to avail the opportunity to train their second level leaders so that they could be ready for the leadership roles in the years to come.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
- ATA accredited or equivalent M.Div. with ‘B’ grade average or above
- Three filled in reference forms. One form is from the pastor of applicants’ sending church /Institution/ organization/ second one should be from any responsible local church leader and the third one from any faculty that the applicant studied under or a teacher who knows the applicant academic caliber.
- To pass the Common Entrance Test (CET) set by AGSTNP. This test includes English proficiency test and departmental knowledge test.
- Three-year ministry experience after M.Div. (Preferably)
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- Choose a Member Institution of AGSTNT through whom you will seek admission into M.Th. Member Institution may arrange an interview sometime before student submits the application form to AGSTNP office.
- Three filled in reference forms. One form is from the pastor of applicants’ sending church /Institution/ organization/ second one should be from any responsible local church leader and the third one from any faculty that the applicant studied under or a teacher who knows the applicant academic caliber.
- A letter from Principal/Academic Dean of NETS should be attached with this filled-in application form.
- Completely filled-in Application Form should be submitted by …….. along with two recent passport size photographs and photocopies of all the previous academic certificates. Last date with late fee for receiving application form will be …….
- All the applicants with less than B average in their M.Div. may contact Dean, AGSTNP as to how the qualify themselves for MTh studies.
- Only those candidates who prove themselves competent and fulfil the requirements laid down by AGSTNP (as per ATA handbook) will be selected for the enrolment.

- Photocopies of SLC, +2, B.Th. and M.Div. degree certificates
- Photocopies of all Transcripts of SLC, +2, B.Th. and M.Div.
- Photocopies of Transfer Certificates and Conduct Certificates.
- Two resent Passport size photos
- Photocopy of Baptism certificate
- A page of detailed Personal Testimony including; Conversion experience, call for ministry, expectation from AGSTNP.
- Medical examination certificate
- Financial Guarantee Letter from the concerned person/church/organization/sponsor should be sent directly to AGSTNT Dean.
- Three Reference letters to be sent directly to the AGSTNP Dean
- One from the Pastor
- One from any responsible Christian leader of the local church
- The third from any faculty where the applicant did his/her M.Div. or teacher who knows applicant academic caliber.
- A letter from the employer if there is ministry experience.
